Payments and Merchant of Record

DishDetect is operated by DEPLOY EVERYWHERE (Pty) Ltd and uses a third-party payment provider acting as our Merchant of Record. They handle billing, invoicing, tax, and compliance for your purchases. Refunds for purchases processed by our payment provider are handled in accordance with this policy and the provider's buyer terms. Depending on your location, statutory consumer rights may apply.

We want you to be completely satisfied with DishDetect. This refund policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be provided for our subscription services.

Refund Eligibility

First-Time Purchase Guarantee

We offer a 7-day "no questions asked" refund on your first subscription charge if you haven't exceeded our usage thresholds and haven't realized meaningful value from the service.

Accidental/Duplicate Charges

Refunds are available within 14 days for accidental or duplicate charges. Please contact support with your payment receipt and details.

Annual Plans

Partial refunds are available within 14 days of your first annual charge only. Refund amount = full payment minus used period at the monthly rate, minus any non-refundable processing fees.

Service Outages

Refunds may be provided for proven service outages exceeding 24 hours that directly affected your access to the platform.

Refund Exclusions

  • • Monthly renewals (access continues until end of billing period)
  • • Accounts that exceeded usage thresholds during refund window
  • • Repeat refund requests (limited to 1 goodwill refund per account lifetime)
  • • Charges older than 14 days (except first-time purchases)
  • • Refunds for app store purchases (handled by Apple/Google)

Usage Thresholds

To prevent abuse, refunds may be denied if your account exceeded these thresholds during the refund window:

Free Plan

  • • More than 10 API calls
  • • More than 5 minutes of processing
  • • More than 3 projects created

Pro Plan

  • • More than 100 API calls
  • • More than 30 minutes of processing
  • • More than 10 projects created

How to Request a Refund

Contact Support

Email us at support@dishdetect.app with your refund request

Provide Information

Include: payment receipt, charge date/amount, reason for refund. If your purchase was processed by our payment provider, include the receipt email as well.

Review Process

We'll review your request within 3 business days and notify you of our decision. If the purchase was processed by Paddle, we or Paddle may contact you for verification.

Refund Processing

  • Processing Time: 5-10 business days after approval
  • Payment Method: Refunds returned to original payment method. For Paddle-processed transactions, Paddle will return funds to your original payment method.
  • Access: Service access revoked immediately upon refund approval
  • Notifications: Email confirmation sent when refund is processed

App Store Purchases

Currently, DishDetect is only available as a web application. Mobile app versions are not yet available.

Consumer Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory consumer rights under applicable law. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights that cannot be excluded or limited by this policy.

Policy Updates

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
